Hi Guys
I've been looking all over google, but I can't find the answer.
Just did my water pump and thermostat yesterday. Filled her back up, bleed the system. topped her up, bleed her again.
Of what I can see on the forums, 93-98 degrees Celsius is normal. Though some suggest 105??
My car is running about 102 degrees, 105 going around the block.
Problem is, no one seems to own a 2L engine of these e90s so I can't see much around to help me.
Does anyone have some suggestions of where I can find the correct temperature?
Thank you!
Matt
I bet the proper temperature range is 95*C-100*C. Why? These engines are made of aluminum. That means the engines won’t tolerate temperatures much higher than those in that temperature range. Rebleed the system. I bet you e got air in it.
based on the ETK the t-start for a E90 320i from 2006 in EURO version (probably in NZ you get this version) is Thermostat 11537510959
based on the online shops the t-stat is 105 degree C, no matter which brand, example
