    Load Index Question

    Hello All!

Today I tried going and mounting some recently acquired style 5's for my 95 325i.
The shop I took them to ended up saying they couldn't mount them because the load index was 86XL and apparently the factory recommended was 92. (specs if this matters at all 215/40zr16)
Is this number really that big of a deal? I have mounted tires before and never really had a issue or payed attention to any load index number.
I tried figuring this out myself and the GVWR is about 3950lbs and the tires should support 4672lbs. (I assume I am probably messing this up somehow lol)
I know I could get them mounted at smaller shops around town but should I be worried driving on them?

I know to many this is probably a pretty dumb questions but any input is really appreciated!
    Thanks.
