This goes along with the running a narrower tire up front. For a good trade off between width and clearance 17X8 ET0 is a good option and you can still use a 225 wide tire on that rim. That should still clear under felony form overs. Ultras would have given you a bit more clearance but you would have more static negative camber to deal with. We also have steering rack stops if you want to maximize the use of the angle you have clearance for with your particular wheel and tire combo.
We can't pick your wheel and tire combo fo you but if you want the full potential of our kit or nearly any kit for that matter it means running a narrower wheel and tire combo up front with a low offset.

But 17x8 is not hotboi enough for the internet these days!
Part of being a true hotboi is accepting the fact your car won't function to its full potential and being okay with it lol
Once we have the lift free in the shop I will make a video for the SLR channel that'll do just that. The amount of room on an E36 with stock control arms vs E46 alloy vs Super arms and Ultra arms with a couple different width and offset wheels. Obviously would be really hard to cover all the possible options out there but we do have some spacers to give a better visual of what the differences are and what they mean.
