Anybody out there have any experience fitting oversize wheels & tires to an E83? Mine's a 2007. It occurs to me my X3 might look kinda cool with some big Mickey Thompson knobbies stuffed under it. Maybe complemented with a brush guard and LED light bar. Lots of dirt and sand roads here in the southwest punctuated with the occasional mud hole when it rains. I'm wondering if there is a sweet spot balancing OD, available width plus any offset of a custom wheel to gain maximum clearance front and rear.

^that would be a Hartage Hunter, it's lifted (about an inch) and running 255/55/18 tires, not sure that tire spec would clear a stock suspension E83.

Since the Tyre Jack is up, my OEM is a 245/50/R18 for a 2014 X3 F25 28i, which is technically a SUV, (or BMW SAV). I want to put Nokian brand Tyres on this vehicle, WR G4 or WR G4 SUV. Do I have to put the SAV's on or use the other. If the load index matches or exceeds my X3, can I use the WR G4? My challenge has been to find the a size that works, 235/245/250? If I have to go with WR G3's that's ok. I would prefer to have the same or lower profile, then change out lower springs to reduce that wheel well gap. Any help or guidance would be great.
