Have a 2011 550i n63 came in with a misfire, no issue pull the plug replace it and replace coil as well, reset code p0306 started car and still has a misfire, swapped coils with another known good one and still have a misfire on cyl 6, so next thing I checked was injector, pulled it out o ring still in tact no obvious signs of it leaking (plug dry) so decided to swap it out with another cylinder to see if problem followed, reset code and started and it still misfiring cyl 6, leads me to believe inj is good, so I’ve swapped out plug, coil, and injector and it stil cyl 6, any ideas? Or other things I can check? Do these car have some sort of cam solenoid or ionic control on each bank? Last time I had a similar problem on a (ford 4.6 3v) ended up being cam solenoid and phaser just not sure if these engines have something similar, any info appreciated
Ttt
Did you ever figure out what the problem was? My indy said there was oil in the cylinder which the computer was picking up causing it to throw a code and shut the cyclinder down. They said BMW tech said the engine was done and needed to be replaced.
