Im an e36 guy. I have a couple questions about driveshafts.
First. Are coupe and sedan the same length?
Second. Is there more than one 188 medium case input flange? Are they all cv flanges of same diameter?
I am assuming If i get a driveshaft from a zf5 with a 188 diff it should work regardless of any other variables.
Looks like the early m52 328 e46 sedans had a rear ujoint 4bolt diff flange.
I am trying to figure out what driveshafts i can use to manual swap a late model 330 coupe with a zf5 speed.
I guess unless i just use the front 1/2 of the 328 shaft or switch the diff flange, i wont be able to use the 328.
RealOEM.com is your best place to find out the information on this issue. Keep punching in different models and look at the flange and drive shaft information. It will also list what other models use the same parts.
