Maybe I'm just out of touch with reality (I've been accused of worse things than that) but $70.00 for a single water-jet cut gasket from a supplied dwg. seems excessive.
I was hoping for something in the +/- .060" thickness range, but all they have in stock is .125" (original Shrick was .040"). They *may* have the same material in 1/16", which would be fine too.
It's a local shop so I can take a head with me when I go pick it up sometime this week, to verify fit accuracy, but that price blows my plan to get a short stack of them produced for anyone else that wants one (suitable for Shrick & Eurosport Twinscrew manifolds).
Has anyone else had gaskets made, and can recommend a more cost effective vendor? I'm not looking to fund a retirement plan with the proceeds, but I do want to cover the costs and not leave a stack of them for my heirs to throw in the dumpster when I'm gone.
Sounds reasonable considering the Schrick gasket is NLA.
That's better than a $400 thermostat housing.

Yes, I have spent long hours to make things for myself for giggles. Actually do it all the time.

I bought this for my Schrick;

I have not tried to make gaskets yet but, 6"x24" will make 3 of them.
I’d buy one. I need a spare for my TS
I had you and your buddy in mind, but I'm going to keep looking for a less expensive vendor. It was worth it__well, justifiable anyway__to spend the money with a local company to prove the drawing is right (not to take away from the guy on here that did the CMM work for me, but it's been converted to different formats). I expect to hear from them in a couple days...
If you had the gasket material, could you not take both to a sign company and have them cut it? I agree $70.00 seems excessive, good luck!!!
If you're trying to get them done in bulk, then the price I would agree is too high. I'm also interested in one or two if they are affordable (I don't have a manifold currently but who knows in the future).
Wouldn't a $5 tube of RTV be sufficient?
WOT
I thought you were turbo?
I cut 2 out yesterday using the Mr Gasket material, which is the same material that Dinan used for their S14/38 intake gasket reseal kit. Here is a picture of the 2nd gasket on a stock ported S52. The Schrick I used is ported, that's why some of the upper port on the head is showing.

Sample picked up on Friday needs a little fine-tuning__it's almost a 1/4" too long. They can compress the file to make it right, but I asked the person who graciously generated the file if he can provide a DXF, as maybe we lost something in the conversion from SolidWorks.
But hey, that was the point of the sample, at no cost
I use BigBlueSaw.com for my waterjet and laser projects. They do offer some gasket materials but only cork buna-n comes in 1/16(not sure I would use that with boost). Pure buna-n is only in .031 but you can email them and see if they can make it out of any material you want.
Prices seem reasonable in my experience. It might be 70 bucks for one gasket... but only 100 dollars for 10 of them. You need to play with the layout to minimized wasted material and only pay 1 setup fee.
Making some progress finally. These are a little less than double the thickness of the original gaskets (.063" vs .038") and while I haven't fitted one yet, I do not think it will have any negative effect on the supercharger's drive snout support.
Obviously, there wouldn't be any dimensional impact used with a Schrick manifold.
Next hurdle will be to figure out the best way to pack and ship these to anyone that wants them; shipping multiple gaskets will likely be the same cost as a single gasket, so if you have a buddy that wants some, I suggest you combine your order. I'll probably just order some 2" x 24" mailing tubes for protection.
Once I get those details worked out, I'm make a post in the classified section (if I can get around the pango thing) and put another update here.

Haha, I actually have a carton of the larger ones (37" x 6" x 6") to ship trunkfloor/diff mount reinforcement kits overseas, I forgot that they also have a 24" version.
Thanks for reminding me, USPS Priority Mail tubes are on their way!
