keyless entry not working

I bought a security system off of ebay for my 1993 BMW 525i and i installed it and the keyless entry worked for about half an hour and hasn't worked sense. Does anyone know whats going on or is the system just like this?

Is the problem maybe with the unknown security system off ebay or your installation?

its hard to mess up plugging in a harness so it could be the system

Reprogram the chip. Very easy procedure. DIYs online.

If the system is OEM BMW, it will reset.

As stated above, try reprogramming the chip. Inside the three button remote you will find a black microchip about the size of a fingernail. To reprogram you remove this chip and place it inside the black security system box under the rear seat. Plenty of DIYs online to guide you through the steps for a successful outcome.
