Looking for help with part numbers for the side view mirror gaskets. My car is from Texas and much of the rubber is dried up. I need a pair of the gaskets for the side views and I can't find them on Real OEM. The part number that says gasket is a foam padding. Not what I am looking for. I found some used ones removed from a mirror base and the numbers that are stamped in the rubber are 32 289 L and 32 290 R. These are in pretty good condition but if I can find the numbers I would like to see what new ones would cost. Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the response Coupenut. Those are the foam gaskets. These photos are of the gaskets I am unable to find the part numbers for. Maybe this will help shed a better light on my part number request. The numbers on these gaskets (incase you can't see them)are, 32 290 R and 32 289 L. Thanks again.

rjbaren, did you ever find the gaskets for the side mirrors? I'm looking for the same for my car as well. All I can find was the foam piece you're talking about that's more like sound deadening foam than a gasket.
I believe that the rubber seals are only available with the mirrors themselves. I had to scramble and dig up my old ones from the stock units when I switched over to the M5 mirrors which didn't have them, originally thinking I'd just order new ones.

This is one of those things that doesn't make sense. It's a gasket, for crying out loud...and a small one at that. And it's one of those things that is expose to the elements and will eventually fail and BMW is NOT offering them to sell as a single piece but they'll make you pay $500+ for the whole assembly. It's the same as my Porsche Cayenne TTS crankcase vent valve. It's a 4" diameter rubber gasket that sits right on the top of the valve cover that would have cost less than $10 and less than 10 minutes to replace. But NOOOO, you'll have to purchase the WHOLE valve cover in the tune of $500 plus valve cover gaskets and 2-3 hours to replace. This is beyond ludicrous! Are German car companies trying to stick it to their loyal customers? I don't remember running into this problem with my American and Japanese cars. ARGH!!!
