2000 Ford F250 7.3 Diesel (Cheap Track Car Tow Pig)

    BFc:

I'm listing my 2000 Ford F250 diesel pickup for sale.

This has been one of the best vehicles I've owned and I put 20K miles on the truck this year. Long hauls include trips from NYC to Columbus OH, down to Washington DC, out to Long Island, and daily commuting ~100 miles a day.

This truck was a masonry truck in past lives, but I did not put the truck to heavy duty use since I've owned it. I've mostly used it for the 8' bed to move furniture, engines, parts, and for Home Depot runs.

The 7.3L Powerstroke diesel at the heart of this truck is the best of an era. This engine is bulletproof with factory forged rods only present in the '00-'01 F250s. It is well known to be able to run over 500K miles with ease and regularly returned 17 MPG in mixed highway/suburban use as recorded on the Fuelly app. Please research this engine and discover it's accolades.

Recently refreshed the truck with a new starting system (batteries and starter motor), belt drive, and front ball joints.

    Details:
    - 2000 F250 7.3L
    - Clear title in hand
    - 198K miles
    - Regular cab, long bed (8')
    - RWD
    - Manual locks/windows
    - Automatic transmission
    - 12,000 lb tow capacity
    - Bedliner
    - Asking Price: $4400
    - Location: Englewood Cliffs, NJ (07631) near NYC

    Recent maintenance:
    - Batteries
    - Starter
    - Accessory belt and idler pulley
    - Door locks
    - Front ball joints and steering arm
    - Front calipers
    - Alignment
    - Regular oil changes @ 7K miles with Shell Rotella T6 5W-40

    Needs attention:
    - Body isn't the best. Bed has fender rust and cross members are sagging.
Roof has a poorly done body work, peeling paint and seal around windshield. Still very functional for what I used it for.

    PM me with any questions!

P.S. the Manual Trans E53 X5 (3.0L/5MT) is for sale too!

No issue with the front crossmember, just had the truck on the lift to get the front ball joints replaced.

Frame is pretty solid, little surface oxidation and in great shape. If you'e interested, you can definitely check under the truck and see for yourself.
