Potential Valve Cover Gasket Replacement

I've got a 06 BMW 550i sedan. The problem I'm working with right now is this: I've got oil leaking into one spark plug well on the drivers side. It appears that it started to foul the plug. As a precaution I replaced all the plugs (it had been a while anyway) and there was only one well with oil in it. if I were to replace the valve cover gasket on the driver side, are there any special concerns to be aware of? Based on a cursory glance of a few guides and youtube videos I havn't seen anything but I want to make sure there's not any major concerns I have to pay attention too. I have only the standard tools and nothing BMW specific so more advanced job I have to stay away from for now.

Change the gaskets on both sides, if one has failed the other won't be far behind.
