    back diff X 3 2006 problem

    Can anyone help me, I just bought an x 3 2006 2lt manual diesel 190.000 k ,
There is a noise in the rear left diff when i slowly turn on a full lock , it sort of catches or jams a bit , hard to explain . I feel it when turning sharply . like something catching at the back left axel ? .

What would this be and would it be expensive to fix ? ,
    Any advice appreciated ,

    Niall.

    Cool Maybe a Locker?

Some lockers will act like that. Any chance you have a posi in the back? It may be worth pulling the cover to see.

Dunno, maybe look at everything involved? Has the driveshaft been replaced? Fresh Diff fluid? Half shafts tight? Suspension elements OK?

I can answer the expensive part of the question.
