I like that color combo. Unfortunately, RHD.
A neat color and it would be legal to import sometime this year (25 years old is the rule). But that's close to CSi money for an auto RHD 850i, doesn't really make any sense to me.
Why not this one instead?

I'm actually surprised the car has that many miles. The Sultan has an insanely huge car collection (I've read 5k+ cars). So given the small size of Brunei, where (and when) did he drive it? I'd venture to guess the Sultan himself never even drove this thing and it was most likely used by one of his family members. So the future buyer needs to decide what kind of premium that deserves.

Last time I spoke with Bill (Max Lumens) Fox (Official Importer) about importing RHD cars to the USA, he said the laws have changed in the recent years and they no longer allow RHD cars to be imported the USA. This conversation took place a year ago. The reason I asked him was because the UK has two dozen beautiful Dakar Yellow RHD 840s and that was my primary car of interest to import to the USA.

That's actually incorrect. There are many people importing RHD cars into the USA (including a neighbor of mine, who makes a small business out of it!). The rule for importing 99% of cars is the 25 year age rule. 25 years (to the day) from manufacture, and you are all clear. I don't think there are any 1993 840s (?), so they would not be eligible yet.
this is what i understand to be true also, but maybe bill or whoever can chime in
there are early skylines now that are RHD being imported like crazy... we are getting close to the sweet spot of mid 90's cars.
I was just tossing around the idea for a RHD , rarer color, individual interior, etc... cause if your going to do it, then see how much you can get away with.
this looks interesting also.. isn't this guy a member here? https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C950869 this would be awesome !

As I mentioned, I am quoting Bill Fox who is an importer, so I'm not 100% sure. (Bill you can jump into this and shut me up at any minute please).
The cars I am interested in are all 97 to 99 RHD 840Ci-Sports from the UK in rare colors (which are worth the headache of importing), so I still have a few years to wait for the 25 year maturity rule. In the meantime, my dad lives in Sweden so I can always send the cars there and have them bake slowly in the oven during my own ownership rather than someone else's, while prices are still attractive and on the rise. haha.
