My 320i's battery dies each time I turn off the engine and leave it for a little bit. I need to jump it each time and if i leave it running for too long without driving or reversing it will die again. I recently replaced the 3 belts (AC, Fan, Alternator) and obviously had to move around the alternator a little bit. Could this be the reason the battery dies or does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks!

First - Make sure the belt is tight and the 2 connectors on the back of the alternator are also tight.
It could be the alternator - so check to see what the charge rate is - should be around 14 volts (give or take a .5 or so) measured at the battery.
OR
It could be a bad battery that cannot accept a full charge.
alright thank you i will check in the morning!

We had a similar problem with the SI board which was always showing the indicators, somehow we managed to find how to reset it as the port is the 15 pin one.
