I'm going to be installing new angel eyes for my e36 and wanted to make sure I was wiring them up correctly. The end goal is to have them turn on from a switch I'm going to put behind the steering wheel by the illumination level wheel. Heres how I plan on wiring them:

Also what is the easiest way to run a wire from the engine bay into the cabin?
If you're going to run the lights off a switch in the cabin, don't bother taking power off the washer pump. Run the ground lead from your switch to pin 85 of a new relay in your fuse box, take 12v power off a fused switch power source in the fuse box (use a fuse tap or add a new fuse) and run to pins 30 & 86 on the relay, run a power lead from pin 87 to your angel eye leads. That's it. This way the angel eyes go on and off when you turn the ignition plus you have the ability to manually control via the switch. You can run the lead from the cabin into the fuse box through the harness grommet above the dead pedal on driver's side. I fished mine through using a wire hanger. Loosen the screw hold downs for the fuse box and you should be able to lift high enough to see your fish wire/hanger.
