Green arrow beside traction control light?

My sons 1998 540i has DSC, unlike my 97 with ASC. When the traction control kicks in a green upward arrow is seen beside it.
I can't seem to find a reference to it anywhere.

Up shift light? Is it a manual? I remember seeing a place for it in some clusters but they never were used in the USA.

It's an automatic..
I've never seen it before. It's immediately to the right of the DSC light.

Any chance it has self leveling or EDC suspension?

As far as I know it isn't self levelling

mm, I'm late to the party again.

As previously stated and viewed if anyone watched Edwin's video...the icon to the left of the Traction Control Light...is th Active Cruise Control icon...and the icon to the right of the TC light is for rear leveling suspension.

ACC icon: the two car icon comes on when you activate regular cruise control first (green icon in image below)...then the ACC option (indicated by the two cars next to TC light). Then when you set the distance that you want to keep between cars in front of you...the two cars following each other in the 20 digit alpha/numeric display will appear...and move closer or away from each other depending on which distance you select

That's unusual. I'm positive his car isn't fitted with auto levelling suspension.

Original cluster or might it have been swapped at some point?
As you are in Aussieland, I am not sure what options were available for you... US received different goodies. Will look further but that is best source I have found.

Does this light actually light up or are you just seeing it when the dsc light comes on next to it? Is it an m62 or m62tu? We (usa) did not get m62tu until 99 but I know we are a year behind what Europe gets. Not sure what Australia got that year. Only touring/wagon models here had self leveling (rear air suspension)

It's a TU.
I'll have to wait until I see him again, probably this weekend coming when I help him run his wiring for the subs and swap the rear speakers out.
