I have new front lower control arms to install on my E36 along with new bushings. I have an extra set of control arm brackets and new bushings. I am also doing struts and shocks(Koni Yelow sports). After pressing the bushings into the brackets, can I then press the brackets with bushings onto the control arms before installing the arms onto the car. Just seems like it would be easier.
Thoughts are appreciated.
Yes, but make sure they installed the correct direction for the arm and the chassis.
I pressed my bushings in and out on a hydraulic press and then installed the control arms into the bushings on the car. I rented a harmonic balancer puller from autozone and used a couple lengths of all thread to make the tool. It was cheap and they went on quickly. Similar to the photos in the thread below.

Installing the FLCABushing/Bracket to the FLCArms should be done with liquid soap or similar lubricant. Shortly there after the arms should be installed on car and car lowered to ground before the lubricant dries.
