    EWS issue

    Heres my problem:

I have a 01 740il, and somehow the security code got triggered, and it wont let me put the code in.

But here's the thing: If I take out fuse for the gong,I can start the car(the gauges won't work),and once I put the fuse back in,it;s fine but I cant still use the radio which asks for a security code.

    I tried "0000" and it won't deactivate.

    Any suggestions?

    HELP!

Leave ignition on for 15 min and then try starting it. It has a 10 or 15 min countdown and then it should start up...

You have to disconnect the battery first - here's the emergency procedure:

    Emergency deactivation
Emergency deactivation can also be carried out before the three attempts to start the engine or three incorrect code inputs have been made and the alarm sounded.
1 Disconnect the battery and wait about 5 minutes before reconnecting it; see the car's Operating Instructions.
2 Turn the ignition key to position
3:A ten-minute countdown appears on the screen. After the ten minutes have elapsed, start the engine.
