    2013 X1 sdrive28i - Rough Downshifting During Braking? (ZF 8spd)

    Hi All,

I am experiencing something in my 2013 X1 sdrive28i, which is equipped with the ZF 8 speed automatic transmission.

Basically, when I am coming to a stop under normal deceleration conditions (i.e. at a red light or stop sign), the transmission's downshifting is somewhat jerky such that each time the transmission changes down a gear it feels as though I suddenly pressed the brake harder. This results in a jerky braking process down to a stop. It's not extremely harsh, but noticeable, and have certainly never experienced it in any auto car I have owned (including an 07 335i w/ the ZF 6 spd).

Is this common or normal for this car/transmission? I am covered by CPO warranty for another couple months and would like to get is resolved if this is an issue.

    Thanks in advance!

I just posted about something similar with my 2013 X1. How many miles on your vehicle? I'm at 83k and just noticed this in the past 2k miles.
