All of these threads about nearly perfect, clean, rust free E30s. I live in WI, and everything, including my E30, has rust. It has some on 3 of 4 fenders right along the wheel edge, and rust along the bottom near the front doors. It has ~200,000mi on it, with the engine having ~150,000. Mechanically, the car is good. I'm just fixing a few small things before sale to make sure it runs perfectly and is all up to date maintenance wise and reliable. 90 325i with LSD and sport driver seat, which has cracks in the vinyl. Otherwise interior is good. Red car with black seats and tan carpet/door panels. I'm about to sell. What should I be asking for something like this? I've had the car for a long time and prices have gone up since then, so now I'm out of the loop on value.
I paid $4800 for a 1 owner mint ‘89 sedan from central Florida. I have invested two weeks of work and almost $2000 into replacing all the rubber bits and engine gaskets.

Maybe your car car is valued around $3k? It might end up being a parts car for another e30 enthusiast? Lots of people are very skeptical of rust.

Nice looking car.
This is a much too difficult question to answer on an international forum. You're going to have better luck asking a regional forum, either on here, R3vlimited, or a local E30 Facebook group of enthusiasts, paired with what you can find about other local cars for sale, and of course NADA/KBB values. For instance, in my neighborhood (PNW) that's maybe a $1,200 car. Most people here wouldn't touch it with rust, and certainly wouldn't pay much for it. But what someone where I live would pay for that car doesn't help you find a good starting asking price for you car in your area. Where you live, you can get more for it, because there aren't many around, and all of the ones that are have rust.

If all you'll get is a couple grand, do you really need 2K badly enough to sell it?
Yeah, it's hard to find an E30 at all around here, and anything that's been on the road more than 5-10yrs has rust. As for selling it, I'm moving over seas. Maybe I'll find a sweet, euro, right hand drive touring E30 in Ireland and post some pics for everyone here to drool over. :P
Check craigslist in your state for local prices.
Here, in south texas, you would have a hard time selling it because of the rust. You would basically have to give it to someone, almost
There are two locally on CL. One is an ix also with rust(again, Everything around here...), damaged front bumper, automatic, 190,000mi, no power steering, ripped up seat, asking $2500. The other is an ES model with no spark(doesn't run) bumpers are removed, 150,000mi, asking "no less than $2,000." It's crazy how much more expensive cars are here than in the south/west.
I guess I'll post for $3,000 and shoot for getting $2500 on mine.
This isn’t an e30 but if you could manage the time to travel out of your area you could find stuff like this
