Engine Swap

Good Afternoon. I am in a pickle and looking for some help. I have an 87 325e. We found a 90 Convertible with an I engine. We took it to someone to swap the engine out informing them that we needed to swap computers and wiring harness. We got it back and it ran. It was hard to start. I got to looking and they did not change out the wiring harness. So now I have an i engine with an e wiring harness. I retrieved the harness and computer from the I. However the harness is different in relation to the injector connections. They seem to have lost that portion of the I harness. I bought an 87 I harness and now I have no idea how it is supposed to be installed. I have a manual that shows the electrical but nothing that shows plug this in here. I love to drive and play around with cars but I am in no way a mechanic. Anyone have any idea where I can find a drawing or instructions to help?

Man, that’s a big project. There are people here that probably could do it in their sleep.

i believe I’d take it back to the shop with the correct harness/dme in hand and tell them to make it right. You did pay them for the work?

Yeah, if you paid for this, they need to finish the job. That means your car running properly with the proper parts.

I hope you aren't running your m20b25 engine with your E computer also, that needs to be changed to the matching harness and dme from the I engine .
