Hi all,
The Problem
I have the check control: brake light circuit error, where brake lights work fine. It is somewhat intermittent, but it has been on the past couple times I've driven the car. I would like to preface that I have searched around in previous posts about this error and it appears that it is the 4 pin switch under the dash.
The Caveat
I recently installed racing bucket seats into my car for tracking and around this time the error appeared. My question is has anyone with buckets had this same issue or are these two things things independent of each other. I have the airbag light from the bucket seats but that isn't a concern (tape).
Thanks for any insight you all can give
The seats have nothing to do with your brake light circuit error...it is indeed the brake light switch behind the brake pedal

As I expected. Sounds good
Thank you
I had a Brake light switch that worked 90% of the time. All it takes is one time and the light is on. Not sure how many OK operation till it would turn off. The switch is on top of the pedal and a pain to remove in one piece. It could also be a bulb holder or a trace in the lights.
