Under hood Positive battery terminal access point cover removal

I'd like to hardwire in a trickle charger connector to the under hood positive battery jumper terminal. There is a plastic cover over the part where the terminal mounts to the firewall and I can see there is a lug there I could mount to but I can't figure out how to remove the plastic cover. I can see the front side will pop off with a screw driver but cannot see the back of it due to close access. I don't want to force it and break it.

Does anyone know the procedure for removing this plastic cover?

    Thanks in advance.

The outer cover has 5 small holes in it, and little round tabs stick through from the inside. I find the easiest way to remove it is to stick fingers behind it and gently expand it and wiggle it free. If you stick your finger in the top left opening and pull gently towards the front of the car as you pull out, it will pop right off.

Thanks very much, I'll give it a try soon as it warms up a bit. 10 degrees here at the moment. I suspected it might be something like that but didn't want to force it without some insight.
