Hello again!
I have e36 325tds with idle problem. First when the car was cold it started with no problem, but when he get warm and i turned it off and try to start it, he will not start(i must wait till he cool down or splash it with water). After that i replaced bosch pump(configured properly) from the same car and fuel pump(there is just 1 pump in tank?). Fuel pump is not getting voltage so i must it connect manual with wires to battery and then she start working. Now the car starts when the motor is cold or warm. When starts, the idle is around 500-600 rpm, and the car is shaking. He can rev to redline with no problems, and when i rev it to example 2500rpm and let go the rpm fall to 1300rpm and then slowly get to 500-600. The car has around 220000km and it's 1997. Saloon
Any ideas?
Thanks!
splash it with water? splash where?
It's probably your Camshaft sensor. Also check for vacuum leaks (make your own smoke machine to test for leaks). Did you replace the fuel filter?

why do you tell him to check for vacuum leaks when vacuum leaks don't have an effect on a diesel engines idle?

no it's definitely not a perfect fit. that's the problem. you don't know what you are talking about when you say a diesel engines idle will be affected by a vacuum leak. do you know why it isn't affected ?
I actually DID NOT SAY IDLE lol. The OP stated the car doesn't start under certain conditions, if you watch the Mercedes mechanic he had the same problem.

I didn't replaced fuel filter, and where can i find camshaft sensor and how can i test it?
It's me again. Car starts perfect, rpm is stable, no shake, but when i press brake pedal the car starts shaking and rpm drops to 500. When i turn off the car and start again rpm are perfect and again when i press brake i got same problem... any idea?
OK I don't know diesels but 2 things happen when you apply brake. 1 is a draw on the alternator and 2 is vacuum use. My gas engine will drop idle momentarily with alternator engagement. But I bet I also have more vacuum leaks to find too.
