Cowel drains? Where are they? Leak.. E53

My X5, 2006, is leaking water onto the drivers side foot rest deadpedal from like a hole above it.. So I am told.. It is apparently coming from the cowel under the windshield..

I am out of town and can't get to it..
Can you give me a good explanation of where these drains are that need to be cleaned so I can have someone back home do it please?
