Just wondering if theres been any update on the BMW recall for 2006 to 2011 3 series pcv (heater)
They said a remedy was "unavailable". So i guess they will hand out loaners for who knows how many weeks or months till this is fixed??
I was told to go get a loaner but they're trying to give me some regular non-bmw car....kinda irritated but still thankful for a car i guess
TIA
My car (06 325xi wagon) is in the shop for it right now. The parts are still unavailable according to my dealer, but my blower motor started to smell, and I had it towed in. The heat stopped owrking at the same time, and it was -31 degrees F outside! The dealer contact BMW and they confirmed that the parts would be shipped for the recall, but they gave me no time frame. I have been driving a Yaris for a week so far (worthless in some Vermont conditions). At least BMW is footing the bill for the rental...
Parts are starting to trickle in. They're not readily available though. The parts we're getting are for situations like yours where the customer is in a rental car. It requires an e-mail from the parts guys directly to BMW with the VIN, name, etc.
