LeSchwab tire folks checked and recommended me to replace brake pads/rotors/calipers on front wheels.
Estimation is about 500$.
Does this sounds good ? normal ?
Why the calipers? Are they seized? OEM supplier rotors and pads (ATE, Pagid, or Jurid) can be bought for around $200 shipped from a few online sources.
Don't let les schwab touch your car there going to put on crappy brake parts on it. I have been involved with BMW's for years and we rarely replace calipers

Find a reputable indie shop that specializes in bimmers. Try www.bimrs.org. Also, check the website for the puget sound chapter if the BMWCCA.
Or just buy parts online and have them installed by a reputable shop.
Thanks for all the responses.
I am thinking of getting it done using a separate labor with my own parts. Local autozone has the required parts by Duralasts brand. Good enough ? or do I have to go for more better ?
Many shops won't install outside parts. Not enough money in it for them. If you can find one, good.
