Car bogs down when driving at 40 mph and 1500/1600 RPM-Also deep throaty type sound.

Just thought I would post this here and see if anyone else has experienced this issue. Car is a 2005 E46(M56) engine with a 104,xxx miles. When driving the car at appx. 40 mph and 1500/1600 RPM, the RPMS will dip, the car will bog down and will make a deep throaty type sound from the rear. I either apply more gas and power through it or let of the gas,in which the noise disappears. No codes being thrown. Any advice? Thanks!

What tool are you using to scan the DME? Does the car have an automatic tranny? If it does, you need to scan the tranny computer (EGS).

Thanks for the reply. So, to scan the DME, I use OBD FUSION. Yes, it's an Auto. I had friend remote in and use INPA/Winkfp and there were no codes and I have the latest software.
