Forum,
I an doing a rear end refresh on my ‘96 850ci, and was able to source a pair of new aftermarket axles from rockauto at a very reasonable price. (10% the cost of factory rebuilds). Here is the dilemma, the axles are actually for a 750 and have a 108mm inboard flange (vs 122mm stock) and a 29.75mm shaft (vs 33 mm stock).
Here is the fun part.
I am replacing my differential with a 3.45 LSD from a euro spec 750, and it has the smaller output shafts on it, so if I use the replacement shafts I would not have to swap output flanges. All other dimensions are the same.

Should I at least try the replacement half shafts, or send them back because they are the wrong part?
