I'm hanging a new turbo from the 745i manifold. Are all 4 big main bolts the same length? I have 3 one length and one 1/2" shorter. Not how I remember it.
The answer to the question is yes, All 4 same length. And if some moron has replaced one with a shorter one, you can use E36 head bolts instead. Nice and hard, same type (almost) heads. With your knees against the RF tire, the outboard forward E36 bolt needs to be trimmed to original length so it doesn't interfere with the snail. The other 3 holes will happily take the E36 bolts as is.
Yep. Same length...but a few studs are different length!
I make E23 parts.

Eric, The new turbo is lovely. What's happening with the wastegate project?
