My stable is below, in SoCal. Used to have an e36 Vert myself, with only 36,000 miles on it, and then it got rear ended and totaled.

Very nice!!! stable.

^ That's currently the part-out car taking up space in the driveway. At 211,000 miles #8 cylinder exhaust valve broke, then sucked into cylinder, cracked block. There were other annoying items on the car so after the engine exploded, I gave up on it.

That makes me so sad. That E38 is what convinced me to go with tinted indicators and tail lights, and to do some tasteful headlight changes. Love it. Shame to see it suffer as it did but at least you're finding further use out of it

Well...hello bought my first bmw, about time i guess? 740il -97 started dumping money into already on my 2nd day (5th) now 344k km auto, plan is trying to restore her into her former glory, no rust below what i can see slightly to low right now #gettingold, some leakage from the valve covers muffler delete (neighbors love it ) very cranky when shes cold (starts instantly tho) thirsty and smells of gas when heated up. and dead pixels everywhere!
but for some reason i still like her... and will most likely continue to spoil her.

You are going to spend A LOT of money! Are you sure you want to do this? My first BMW 740iL cost me $2400 to purchase, I then spent another almost $8000 in 5 years fixing it up, and then the engine failed. Mine started with 134k miles (214k Km). Yous is at 344k KM already. My engine failed at 211k miles (337 k Km). Make sure this is what you want to do.

Now I look for good cars and pay more for them so I don't have to spend too much fixing them.

Thanks bro. In all fairness, the e38 next to never leaves the house. The e34 never leaves the subdivision. lol. I daily the wagon to death to save my other cars from being killed by some crazy circumstance.

quick update on mine. I got nearly all of the suspension up front done, and all fluids done along with replacing some stuff like the reservoir. installed BCracing BR coilovers, installed 19" style 437M wheels in Ferric Grey, got ceramic window tint installed, replaced my rotors with new cross-drilled and slotted rotors, and did the pads as well. I also have a brand new head unit that I need to go install. For the rest of the interior, I got my gauge cluster re-done, got an M sport 3 spoke wheel, and have done odds and ends. I still have to tackle the rest of the exterior (trim, cracking here and there) but all in all I'm

happy with it!
