After it’s first wash. Super excited to be in the E38 msport. Car drives surprisingly small. Headed to the shop to get new tires, alignment, new fan clutch and possible water pump as there’s some play in the fan. Also window tint is a must here in FL.
I picked this up to avoid driving my E90 M3 daily to parking garages. Also, with hopes of having a kid in the next year, I wanted something big, safe and mostly reliable to take on trips and daddy duties. While the E90 is a fantastic daily, I can’t stand scratches and dents from careless people. The E38 already has some character and while I’ll do my best to keep it clean, its not going to break my heart if there’s a new scratch or minor dent.

What suspension are you running?
Lets get the party started before it's my bedtime.
Nice stance, Arthbkins. I'm curious about your suspension also...
Thanks for all the compliments and many thanks to all the contributors to this forum - I've learned so much on here. Most of the fixes and modifications I've done have been fueled by information found here. Done so far: angel eyes, 12 of 14 speakers, double paned windows, suspension overhaul with eibach lowering, backup camera, GROM bluetooth for calls and streaming, front plate delete, rear badge delete, wheels refinished and a bunch of miscellaneous.
For those asking, details on the Suspension:
- Springs: Eibach (2048.140 Pro-Kit) Due to limited availability, bought this on Amazon here: http://a.co/eUiqeY8
- Bilstein B4 (touring) shocks. I hesitated a lot between tourings and sports but the decision was made easier by the fact that there's a worldwide shortage of Bilstein sports right now. Couldn't find them anywhere except for expensive options shipping from Europe. And I decided that my land yacht could use a slightly more supple ride than sports. I also worried whether B4's could handle the slightly lower ride height of these Eibach springs. But the eibach's are only slightly lower than stock sport springs and others have used this setup successfully.
- 15mm spacers in the rear, 10mm spacers in the front.
Very happy with the ride quality so far.
On the LED halos, they are Ebay "cotton white angel eyes". The listing I bought them from isn't active anymore but this listing looks identical:

Your current situation is not your final destination
Just picked this up. 99 750il

Had this dropped off today. 1999 740 sport, one owner, no wrecks, no flood, 98,000 miles... needs some cleaning and replacement parts, but overall a winner so far!
