Should someone break his heart and tell him he has a plain jane, high mileage car worth maybe $2000 because it's clean? Or you could ask him what he did with the turbo charged v12 engine? It's not like he would know anyway.
As for the engine I agreed the price is high. For that money you could get a whole car that has been wrecked and have all of the parts you need for the swap.
