The Alfa 75 is a horrid piece of trash, with a scavenged chassis that flexes like a wet toilet paper roll, a horrid gearbox arrangement which makes shifting something that may happen occasionally and the worst electrical build quality in the history of Italian cars - and that's saying something. The least bad thing are the engines, which are shining examples of acceptable early-1970s technology.

Alfa made some great cars - up to the early 60s - and some decent ones in the 60s. Afterwards they're best forgotten. The actual best cars, those that made the brand, are from before the war... born and raised in Italy, BTW, so I have seen and driven a few (...) of them.

My family in Bari had a very early 1900, and eventually that got replaced by a Lancia Flaminia, which surprisingly is still around today.

I'll still take a 75 over an E30 any day of the week, even if I have to press the clutch in three times for it not to grind.

That does look nice. July 10th, wow. Always love Anthracite on black with Shadowline. Mileage is a little scary with guides not mentioned, though.

The 1900 is good but the Flaminia, arguably, is a lot better.

As to a 75 vs. an E30, to each their own, although I am not quite clear on what you'd use the 75 for: driving is right out (quasi-cit.)
