Sparco seat install QUESTION with sparco side mounts /sliders / floor base

Hey guys! I have 2 quick questions as i am gearing to install my new sparco sprint seat.

I purchased everything sparco reccomends on their website for install

    " Seat Base (600 series)
    Track Set (#00493)*
    Side Mount (steel #004902)
    Side Mount Hardware Kit (#50002)"

    My questions are:

    1. Is the little tab on the sparco seat base for the oem seat belt tensioner / buckle? It is the tab that is sticking up, on the top left. Can be seen here https://www.sparcousa.com/seat-base-600-series#readmore

    2. Sparco says these arw 100% bolt in installation, but i have read that getting the sparco bases in with the stock hardware is a pita and takes modification.

does the side mount hardware kit i purchased allow for easy install, and the accounts of people running into issues just didnt order these hardware kits? Or is the hardware kit just for mounting the seat to the sliders and base, and not for base to car?

    Thanks!

The oem bolts and nuts should bolt the base to the car.

They said, this may be easy, or hard. Not sure unless I can look at it.

are you side mounting these or track/slider bottom mounting?
    can't do both.
seat size position everything are install factors. any hardware store you can get bolts of diff lengths to fit your install.
have you sat in that seat?

Figured it out guys. Took some fiddling but i just decided to wing it since there wasnt anything definitive. For the Record, I was using Side mounts w/ Sliders (all sparco products). Ill be writing a DIY Tomorrow to help the next guy, Tomorrow though. Super Tired. Ill be writing it in the E36 section, but i will post the link in this thread tomorrow.

Swapping over the Original tensioner was a feat in its self

Set up the seat with the side mounts and sliders ( Sparco Shorted me 1 M8 nut, had to do a homedepot run -_- )

You need to make sure that the M8 you got from home depot is the right tensile strength. Almost certainly it is not. Kind of critical in this application.

    Otherwise looks nice!

It actually was an M8 nut, Sparco provided a number of the M8 1.25 nuts that have the nylon locker, and yeah I was just one short. Actually it was the last one Home Depot had too, so I got kind of lucky there. Is there any cause for the nut to be of any concern? It appeared identical to the other ones as I brought one for reference.

    But thank you!

Yeah, nut should be fine! I misread and thought bolt.

You should use Grade 8 (standard) or Class 10.9 (metric) hardware for bolts AND nuts.

What do you think of the Sprint so far? I have a Sprint L in my track car and its shockingly comfortable. Drove from San Diego to Sunnyvale in it with a harness on, and it honestly wasn't that bad.
