I only needed the B pillars & after 15 years in an E38 I knew how to remove them without damage. Gently. I actually sent
pics to a friend with my amazement. The interior was in nice shape for a 200k mile car, had black active / heated seats / comfort
that were decent, but needed re-dye. I think it was a car used at VIR to shuffle folks about the track, had some decals on the windows.

Duke, regarding black floor mats: get e39 rubber mats. I have them in my car and love them!! I ordered only the front pair and package came with 4 plastic anchors.
Current: 2007 Z4 M Coupe (blue/black)
Previous: 2001 740iL Sport (black/black), 2000 528i Sport (black/tan), 1995 318is (black/black), 1991 318is (white/black)
I did a complete overhaul of the suspension. Got it done and tucked her away before the snow started!!
All new bushing front and rear, new control arms, new trailing links, ball joints, B6 Bilstein shocks, etc. If it was a suspension part it was changed. The car finally rides (better actually) than it did new. Soooooo nice.
Bought a genuine BMW car cover since my wife is carving in the garage
Removed - had a shop recover the headliner in the 750 - and reinstalled - looks great! Nothing like new fabric.

I've had this issue with low charged or bad batteries. I've had to charge or put a good battery in and the turn the key to the on position and leave it there for a bit. This on m62tu. You can here the throttle open and close. It's like if the battery isn't charged enough it doesn't know what the throttle position is. leaving the key in the on position appears to let it reset itself.
Changed out the thermostat .... think I found a leak...

Replaced both front drag links on the DINAN 7. Had a slight wobble over bumps and rough roads, so that fixed it. Need to replace center link, the bushing at the pitman arm is completely gone, the pitman arm is being replaced too. Nasty grinding noises during slow full left turns.

I believe you mean the idler arm. The pitman arm has no bushing. Also I’d strongly suggest replacing the whole idler arm, as pressing out and replacing just the busing is a nightmare. I had a hell of a time removing/replacing mine using a shop press. You will need to fabricate some specific pressing/receiving cups for the job. A whole new idler arm is worth it!

Finally passed emissions inspection !!! This one was quite the challenge. The valley pan beat me, threw me in a wood chipper, and oh god. (I was able to do two other chain jobs while trying to figure out that valley pan, to show you how bad I was beat!!)
Now I need to diagnose my HVAC! The panel only blows cold.
Defrost and floor only blow at 100% hot, temp input does nothing.
But at least those clues point me in a pretty specific direction haha.
This car is so dreamy to drive

Sounds like the actuator....aka pulling the dash. I'd source one from a parts car so it's on standby.

Actually started my resurrected '01 Orient Blue iL! Bought it with a bad engine and fully serviced a junkyard motor replacing every single "o" ring and gasket. Took six months but it runs! I will clean it up and post more info. Learned a lot from this forum.
Well, since I brought my new (1998) home, I just unloaded the extra bits from the trunk the previous owner bought. Shocks, struts, etc. Sorry, 740il. First post here. I've been really enjoying the camraderie and info you have here. It encouraged me to buy the car. I'm fairly capable in the garage, and my budget is going to dictate getting my hands dirty. No big shake. Looking forward to learning from you folks.
