Well I cleaned my tail lights with some wax remover. They were very fogged up, probably old wax, but still they look old, and faded.
Then I thought to make an offer of 70€ for a pair of OEM tail lights and the seller accepted the offer so I went and picked them up, seller was only 20km away from me. Will need a light polish on the reverse light, but I am happy.

Just simply wax removal(fat removal) for the car, because I had old wax that fogged up on my black tail lights, over the years I waxed the car, sometimes wax got on the lense and overtime fogged up.
But I think in your case, good old headlight polish will save them , as they are probably fogged up because of the sun. (We don't have that problem here -.-, maybe 2 days of sunshine over the summer

Same here, but I lucked out on this 750 i found, rear subframe, fuel tank, gloss black window trim, DP windows, dash, center console, and a whole bunch of stuff. For 400..can't beat it.

A little stick with some soft fiber on the end and a lot of water and then just jiggle water inside the tail light left and right ( and up down) like trying to shake a protein drink, then going to the oven to dry up, and should be like new inside.
So far it is looking like that.
Much better. In pictures there is a lot of moisture inside, ain't dry.

Wet sand the wile taillight and bug it out, it is all like back up light section.
