Ordered new rear brakes
Zimmerman discs, pads.
Mine are ok, not worn at all almost, but I want something to match front brakes (EBC Slotted discs at the front, with EBC Greenstuff pads), so ordered drilled discs, especially with those new rims, that shows a lot what kind of brake disc, you have.

Went from this...
To this
Very happy to have my multi function display lights back so I can see the whole message. Not sure about the chrome rings, jury is still out on those.

I love my chrome rings. The cluster is just TOO plain black 90s for me without them.
I like them, they are growing on me. For the $15 I spent I'm happy. But I don't think I'd have been as happy if I paid more.
I did the work inside, and the indoor lights were flooding the display with reflections off the chrome. I couldn't see that well. Now that it's all installed there is a tiny bit of material around the tach ring in a couple of places that I wished I'd trimmed off. It's tiny, but my OCD is going crazy. May have to pull it again.

Went with the 'black chrome' rings on my '01, a little more subtle.
Just a touch of bling for the old sled. The cluster definitely needed something.
I'm waiting on my ribbon to come in then I'm doing that the lights and speedo stepper

I liked the machined aluminum rings I had on my OE cluster before switching to the M5 cluster several years ago. I was getting tired of the carbon fiber overlay that i put on the same time as the rings tho....had I kept that one I think I would have removed that overlay.......

Raised the rear back by 5mm, as it was rubbing on every corner and bump. Also replaced my spacers, with the ones that have hublip, front 30mm, rear 15mm.
What you guys think, 5 full turnes of the wheel bolt is ok, or should be more? If I remember right, original ones go for about 6 turnes in.

I got a little bummed today- not with DArth but the damn 335 again. After driving just about every day for the last week or so in the high temps here in TX over 100 every day, noticed a coolant spot on the garage floor. I thought what now found two areas that showed leaks when under 20 lb pressure from the tester. One may be from a cut hose from clamp too tight - replaced with a wider clamp positioned differently, we will see. The other area is up behind the intercooler, will pull tomorrow and see - hope it is not the radiator. That is one item I haven't replaced yet...........Bummer!!!

Speaking of heat, it was 102F yesterday, coolest day of the week, so I took advantage of the cold front and dropped the trans pan on the DINAN 7, replaced filter and fluid. Looked like original pan bolts and fluid, so first service on this trans. Old stuff was dark grayish brown as expected. Other than some black residue from the papers, pan was clean Will drive it for about 500 miles and redo the fluid again to get more of the old stuff out.
Used a ZF filter, it actually said Filtran, and Pentosin ATF 1.
Stripped two pan bolts, which was better than I expected, drilled out and had spares available. I’m sure someone has replaced these with steel bolts.
inspected suspension and discovered the center steering link has a failed bushing at the steering arm, so I’ll be replacing all the steering links. Steering is a bit loose. Still can’t find the source of clunking on the driver side wheel during hard braking and turning, may be the strut.
