Replaced the center link and tie rod ends (well, my shop did. With one infant and a 6-year old, I don't have the time these days). Front end wobble under braking is gone.
Had my calming time ride home disturbed by a piece of debris from a roofing truck, took my
undersill cover on the left out big time. Flapping to beat the band.
Pulled over, tore it off, cursed my luck.
Anyone have a long wheelbase sill cover laying around?
Pm me, if so.
Installed a widescreen in my 01 shorty but alas the tape deck doesn't work .

Developed a squeek from the front passenger side I noticed when going speed bumps. Diagnosed it as coming from the ball joint on the lower control. I knocked just about everything else out on the front with the exception of the control arms and stabilizer bar bushings. FCP had a sale on Meyle HD uppers for $56 on one side and 57 for the other side(not sure why the price difference), so I jumped all over them along with Rein (made in italty) lowers for 43 one side and 50 for the other (again, no idea why the price differs per side). Also purchased Genuine sport stabilizer bar bushings (22mm) since those are the only ones offered in that size that I am aware of. New xenon leveler as well...

I'd be curious about what's causing the lack of front caster. And unless you drive the car hard (in terms of twisty roads or track time) all the time, I'd probably want less rear camber. More even front camber would be nice, but it's not adjustable, so... The toe looks good though.
Lowering the car will increase camber (but shouldn't make it uneven). It's possible that lowering could reduce caster, I'm not sure if it does or not with the E38 suspension geometry.
Speaking of alignment finally got my husband's e38 straight. Going to daily drive it local for a few days as this is car I had so many issues with valley pan during chain job and finally it is back on the road!!
Still needs one more good vacuum bleed of the coolant and then he can take it and pick out his speakers and radio or just enjoy it for a while

Converted my headlights to bi-xenon with a set of Morimoto Mini H1 7.0 projectors. The kit I got came with mounting adapters for them to bolt right into the stock headlights. First light took me a while, but once I had the process figured out I got the second light done in 45 minutes (including taking it off the car and re-installing it on the car).
Looking at the lights, you can barely tell anything was changed, but I now have better low beams and much better high beams. Comparison pictures of the stock vs modified lights as well as beam shots are attached. I might need to pop the lights back out and shim the projectors up a little though, as the halogen high beams are aimed a little high once I got the projector aiming figured out (more so on the driver's side than passenger).

Replaced these two vacuum hoses in situ as I was going to be damned if I went through all the hassle of the secondary air system non-return valve hassle again.
Lesson learned: while there, go ahead and replace the vacuum lines unless you KNOW they are good.

Replaced the heater valves since they were leaking coolant and barely producing any heat. New old ones heat normal i would say and no leaks so far! Need to check the coolant after each drive though just for security reasons!
And replaced the windshield washer pump and the bad non stock harness my mechanic put back in 2016 on the car. The harness is more "Ghetto" Like now but it works great now, without a 2 second delay like before and finally waterproof.
How hard was it? I have a strange issue where I’m getting heat out of the passenger side but blowing cold out of the drivers side. Not sure if it’s the heater control valve or the core or something else.
Also I changed my spark plugs today. The ones I pulled out were looking pretty rough, feels a lot zippier now.
