Prosport Performance Oil Filter Adaptor Plate BMW 7 Series 87-15

Not pushing this product. I went with it to get a billet aluminum oil filter cap and two access points to monitor oil pressure and temp. Ran wires along hood and through hood cable release grommet so can monitor both in car. At idle temp around 220/230 and 7 psi. Flat out 66psi and 240- temp.

I had looked at those but passed...didn't like the idea of disconnecting hardware to change oil
filter.

Are you running the stock thermostat?

Sender is screwed in to one of the ports and then the connector can be disconnected from the sender - so far four years on the first car and the connector is holding up well.

no that thermostat I posted about - 90degree mapp so I didn't have to possibly go the resistor route and the mapp/heater function does seem to be in place - so far car runs at 96/97 - the other car runs about the same. There are a lot of posts about the bmw cooling system and designed operating temps. In fact after reading then and somewhere the was a post about actual coolant system psi - the system on a 5 series iirc was mapped out at various rpms and op temps and the highest BAR reading were less than 1 BAR iirc. So I ditched the plastic cap and went to the GAS 1.2 bar cap.

The other aspect is I wanted to get rid of the plastic cap and go to a metal cap - showing my age - plastic in an engine bay for critical components just seems wrong - yes I know about the tcg's and other parts. Change out what I can.

I bought the
AUX-IN 3.5mm audio and 5V USB Charging cable , 5FT

But I decide not to use it they also have this
is more money but it gives you USB access, I not worried about that that why I got the top one it works
well with the cell phone calls , siri and waze music and also you tube and also xm radio app.

Bought new battery Exide EA1000 for 7, the same as in E39 good price and nice quality, as my have been frozen and is quite old. Now waiting few more weeks until 7 get out of hibernation
Maybe new concave wheels, just can't pick between Japan Racing wheels and Style 128.

There aren't a lot, especially at a reasonable price which aren't a machined lip, and are 10.5-11" wide. That's why I jumped on my Zedd wheels when I came across them although the lip isn't super deep and is machined, not polished. Almost anything else and you're looking at a true 2-3 piece wheel.

Few weeks and should be delivered.

Yeap bro, I always loved with big lip and still do. But I think some changes are also good, if I don't like them, I can always sell and get what I want.
I will get 7er out of garage soon, maybe when wheels will arrive, we still have black ice on the roads.

Drivers door window regulator replaced on 740, stop the drop at full open. Unplugged the airbag though with the battery still connected, put back together and yip, airbag light
After some forum searches I was able to plug the carsoft scanner to the round diagnostics plug under the hood and clear it, good trick to know that the OBD port only links to the DME
