Oil filter housing gasket, new oil+filter, fuel filter, oil pressure sensor replaced.
All messy.
And washed the car.

Hi guys,
I ordered my BC extreme lows last week, fingers crossed they arrive this week. One question about the SLS delete...
Why do I see so many posts with dodgy looped lines? IMG_9774.jpg
Why doesn't anyone just loop the m10x1 line connectors [the yellow paint marked connectors in the pic]? Unscrew, bend and screw them into each other. Clean and tidy, with all the parts already fitted on the car. The fittings are male on each end, with a female-female joiner in the middle, so everything is there to loop both ends of the car.
Am I missing something?

It may be a bit tight to make those bends on the original lines and you run the risk of cracking them. Instead of that I used an additional piece of brake line with the connectors already on it which you can usually find in stock at NAPA. You use it in place of the janky zip tied rubber hose.

Finishing up a set of 18's style 5's for the 740.
Lets get the party started before it's my bedtime.
Thanks. They came with the car at sale, but had seen better days. Lots of sanding, buffing, lots of elbow grease put into these things. I've polished these as much as I will, they are what they are, but they do look nice.

Yeah they get really nasty.

I went and bought all the stuff to drill it out and took everything apart. Harmonic balancer and all come to find out it wasn't even broke to far I ended up just using grip pliers20180218_143700_HDR.jpg20180218_143700_HDR.jpg20180218_143700_HDR.jpg20180218_143700_HDR.jpg20180218_143700_HDR.jpg
Owned the car for 1 week and already dealing with an interior water leak. Looks like the windshield was replaced and set incorrectly. Onto the drains.
Edit: all drains were clogged and 1 of the sunroof drains was disconnected. Floor was covered in 2 inches of water. She is finally dry!

Ouch, sorry that happened to you. Did you pull up the carpets? You need to be certain the fuse link box under the carpet isn't still full of water and just waiting to rust into oblivion;

Damn, I've seen myself looking E65 730d now a days... Wouldn't mind upgrading daily driver. But then... I wouldn't wanna sell the E38.

New here - just got my first E38 a few weeks ago. The previous owners didn't ... give her the love she deserves.
Wish I had the money/time to do it all right away, but I'm constrained to weekends that aren't pouring.
Replaced the air intake hose today. Was cracked and taped in place.
Still not running quite smooth as I'd like but the grommet on the idle regulating valve seemed a little loose/old so maybe that's next.
Does a e60 steering wheel fit in our cars, going to junkyard this week and there is a e60.

Have been making a punch list of all I need to do to my new (to me) 98...Hopefully as soon as the weather starts warming up, I will be able to cross things off instead of adding to it...it is mostly small stuff from years of neglect.
