I believe same people sell ADS, but cheaper directly from them.

For interface- it’s reading all modules through that port, so it’s not just DME
I don’t understand exactly how it works but I know it’s common complaint when people connect newer cable and can’t read anything or read only couple modules which support this new interface

Just ordered the tiny ads board. I won't have time until next week to work on it all, but would be nice to get going soon.

Katit2, would you mind f I shared those photos on the tuner pro forum for the guys working on the arduino piggyback live data project?

    No problem

i honestly don’t think it will be possible though. This interface is very very slow

Katit2 or Mykk - could really use your help on this, I've ordered the ADS cable but haven't received it yet and still need to find the right software.

Would you mind reading what the DME is reporting as running engine temp when your instrument cluster is showing 1/4 and 1/2 mark ?

This would help me tremendously as I am plotting e30 temp gauge (done) and the single pole 12 62 1 710 512 sending unit that e30 cars use to drive the cluster temp gauge. As you can imagine a little bit of calibration is in order as the e30 temp gauge and 512 sender wasn't really meant to be used with a hotter running M6x engines.

Just for reference, 1/2 mark on the e30 gauge cluster reads when the sender is at 46ohms. I used hot water and got 512 sender to 195F and thats 61 ohms. Tomorrow I'll use a digital infrared thermometer and do some more testing to validate my data.

So, what I really need is a good data point, running temperature that the DME is reporting when your e32/e34 cluster is showing at the 1/4 and 1/2 marks.

Hopefully this isn't too much to ask CRAP, I just realized Katit2 your screenshots are off 525 and not 540, so hoping Mykk got his hardware Or maybe someone else have this setup running and can report back running temps?

    Cheers!

    .
There are also a few (now "vintage") diagnostic tools that can read everything E34/E32 including data from every sensor on the engine. Autologic Blue Box comes to mind, and of course the factory tools of the era - GT1, MoDIC I/II/III - will read and display everything.

So I gave up on the tinyADS serial cable, I bought a brand new one along with a Dell laptop with serial port and software on DVD and EDIABAS keeps crashing no matter what I do.

Wish I could find someone local in northern california with a working laptop/software/cable combination , bueller ?
