Did you talk to a dealer? They can find out about where one might be, warehouse in US, warehouse in Germany, dealers in US or that it is nla.

Yes no luck ...none in the counrty there all in germany.

Actually there are 4 in the states, in the Nazareth warehouse and 142 in Germany.

Order one, Germany isn't too far away. Neither is Nazareth. Could have one this week if that Naz is a BMW NA warehouse.

My local BMW dealer tells me there's non in the USA. Any ideas where to order from ?

UPDATE: Local dealer confirmed that there is 4 in Pennsylvania but cant guarantee stock is accurate. I did place the order anyway ...so i will see. Thanks everyone

your local dealer should be able to get stock from BMW AG. those are the guys that have all the parts and they shouldn't be limited to just stuff in the US. Might get to needing a deposit or a non-returnable special order part or something.

Hope you get one from PA. Quicker delivery for sure.

Nice! I’ve found in my years of dealing with parts guys that they can be a pain, as for now I can check the availability of any bmw part and even tell you how to get it. Some euro stuff comes up as nla even though we have it available through a special program bmw created to stop people in the us from buying non dot approved parts. It requires some paperwork and a current registration card for the vehicle. Then has to go through a special approval process that takes 2 weeks. Most parts guys are not aware of this and are not willing to research it. So if you need help just let me know.

I thank you again so much and i appreciate your genuine willingness to help. Its becoming harder to find parts for my beloved 1985 BMW 735i ( e23) but i plan on keeping the car for many ,many years to come so im sure i will be in touch again.
