You guys are coming up with much better ones than I did!Or "Help! My cruise control is not accurate, has anyone experienced the same? I set my cruise control to 330km/h but it occasionally sways to 331km/h."
I going to be relying heavily on the rotors I bought from you guys and the 996 calipers for my stopping"ECSTuning"

Cheaper to just buy a running E60 M5... A guy near me just bought one for $6k, needs rod bearings but beats paying $5k just for the engine!

A friend from St. Louis wanted me to run my car in this: http://www.sorcrace.com/ My wife put the kabosh on it when she looked over my shoulder and saw that all racers must have blood types and SSNs shown on the back of their helmets so they can either identify the body or whistle up the right brew of blood transfusions. I didn't tell her that other racing organizations/venues also have that rule, but she asked nicely to forget the idea of going to Nebraska with Bob...and Bob's wife didn't want him to bring their Corvette, either.
Your S85 equipped car should do it. They have a 180 MPH club based on a flying mile.
It would be great if you can keep track of your costs as you swap it over. My S52 will probably live longer than I will, but it would be fun to do a motor swap like that!

Well that is going to make an excellent noise.

That's too bad your wife put the kibosh on going, I think it would be an absolute blast. Interesting you bring this up we had looked into going a few years ago but we couldn't get the time off together. I'm glad you brought this up because I had forgotten about the flying mile, maybe this is the year.A friend from St. Louis wanted me to run my car in this:http://www.sorcrace.com/ My wife put the kabosh on it when she looked over my shoulder and saw that all racers must have blood types and SSNs shown on the back of their helmets so they can either identify the body or whistle up the right brew of blood transfusions. My wife has all the receipts but to be honest I'm not sure if I really want to know the cost...
Oh yeah!Well that is going to make an excellent noise.

An update on the progress. The headers are coming along well but slow... they are more challenging than my guy figured! I'll post some photos soon. The RallyRoad caliper brackets and brake lines arrived last week, thanks Eric!

Well here's a shot of the headers out of the car, they just need the v-bands welded on and off to get ceramic coated. These took 60+ hrs and were a pia to build. Sorry about the crappy pic I'll get better ones when I get the car back.

Yeah, the #5 and #10 plugs might be a chore, but not because of those sweet headers; the header tubes are not particularly close to the S85 plug ports.
Now if this swap involved some flavor of old school American iron where the plugs are adjacent to the exhaust ports, unbolting headers and engine mounts then jacking up the engine to change plugs might be necessary. Been there, done that more times than I care to count.

Thank goodness this isn't like the old iron when it comes to the spark plug location, on this engine plugs are located up top just like our I6's. otherwise it would be a nightmare...

whoa.... I just have to follow this to see where it goes. This would be awesome in an unassuming narrow-rear 1.9L car. not sure the the rear of the car could take it though.
