Very clean, one owner 2003 525iT in Topasblau over Gray, SLS, sport suspension and seats, PDC. One of the shortest 100K miles CarFax reports I've ever seen. The owner gave this one lots of love.
As a stock E39 touring fan, this one makes my mouth water. If I were single I'd buy it in a minute and just keep it for when my 540iT finally bites the dust. The worst problems would be replacing (even finding) plastic parts.

That reminds me of the 2003 525it that my friend picked up— it's Bluewater metallic, 153k miles, pretty much the exact same spec otherwise with the gray interior, sport seats, heated seats, PDC, window shades, etc. His interior might be even cleaner than that one, because the owner had gotten parts of the front seats reupholstered with brand new leather. It needed AC work and a window regulator so we scooped it up for $2200.

Did anyone notice that part of the video has been flipped horizontally. The exhaust on these cars is on the left side while looking at it from the rear. Yet at 1:02 in the video while looking at the back of the car drive away the exhaust is on the right side.

Not a link, but I'm considering letting go of my Alpine White/Sand '03 504iT M-Sport (128K miles). Bigger little one is gonna start skiing, and I need something with a bit more ground clearance and AWD. Can't justify having 3 cars when I don't have a commute... Not in a hurry, I can probably get through this winter and next summer, but I'd like to find the right buyer who will appreciate her.

Good luck on your auction! The 540iT looks great, and im sure the bidding will start taking off towards the end. I have been keeping an eye on it and looking at other wagons that have sold. Seems like BAT is the best place to get top dollar for it. Manual wagons are fetching a premium from enthusiasts.

That sale proves my point I've been saying for years, and someone always busts my balls, clean 2003s ALWAYS bring more money than any other year 540iT unless its a heavily modified well-done car...the rariety of the 2003s over other years, 1999 - 2002s is worth the price @ $15K. That car was a good deal & what that specific car is worth. Cleaner low milage cars still bring $25Kish +...

Weird wagon. "M-sport" but with the base seats and a suspension which looks higher than non-sport models? No mention of chain guides so one can only assume they are NOT done; also needs valve cover gaskets, guibo, tailgate struts? DSC light won't go off and front end damage reported?

I love BMW M-Sport trims in general but being mechanically inclined and appreciating function over badges/plaques, I always chuckle at people who are paying for VIN numbers but maybe those people will be the ones chuckling in 10 years when they sell the car for x3 what they bought it for. Then again for the ones who really make a killing on buying/selling "rare" vehicles they usually don't drive them just hoard them like a commodity and as an enthusiast that makes me cry and chuckle at the same time. To each their own.
