Seems to me this was a buddy of yours. I've followed this car since 2014, when I didn't buy it from the son of the original owner.
It had some missteps in Oregon, before it made its way east.
Unique color, but I don't do beige interiors. Curious where it will end up at, and resurface.
I still have the original owner (son) contact on one of my old phones. It had 80k and was $8000 back then.
Not enough room for past/present garage

I know 525iT/5's are hard to come by and this is a less common color, but right out the gate it seems to be at crack pipe prices. Higher mileage, no sport package, and some questionable mods like those headlights and poly bushings. At least they sprung for good tires which is always a sign of an owner that cares. Someone will enjoy it, I'm sure.
How is $6100 crack pipe prices ? Pretty well maintained car. Not a fan of the lights or the gloss black painted lower trim but easy fix.
I like the style 5 wheels better on it. Most the expensive stuff has been done on it. Paint the bumpers and change out the lights a little PDR maybe a door gasket or two.
Couple grand of work and you have a very nice touring. Would guess over $10k a couple people bidding go for a few grand more.
I have been collecting factory manual touring prices since 2017/2018 and this car has sold multiple times. I agree about the headlights but the car is factory Sport Pack (decode the VIN, 525i's got sport pack that was less visual change than 528i models). I opened the auction and my first impression was 'oh, he ruined it'. To each their own but at least the car isn't all rusty from living in OH. The miles aren't a big deal since the car has had a lot of servicing done.
I'm going to guess 10-12K will be the selling price. It is presented very honestly.

Relatively low miles and manual. Don’t like wheels or steering wheel but has a partially converted black interior.

“She’s the last of the V8’s, she sucks nitro...phase 4 heads, twin overhead cams...600 horsepower through the wheels, she’s meanness put to music...”
M5T... Don't know how I feel about it. A week after I bought my wagon saw one in LA listed for 12k, but was ROUGH, this one is a lot nicer

Yeah, seen that still looks like a pretty nice swap.
34k for a rebuilt title is a tough decision. There's an e30 M3 in your neck of the woods for 48k with a rebuilt title that I wouldn't mind. I don't know if the rebuilt title thing would bug me
that much. Similar M3 is 65k ,, so theres that. My old winter beater was a rebuilt title but was like $1800. bucks.
I thought I seen a E39 Touring diesel that had been imported to the states, but can't seem to find it now.
That could be a cool ride.

When I saw this M5 conversion I first thought maybe the CL seller in Denver got wise and went to BaT, but nope. This is a different, well executed example and the Denver one appears to be off market now.
