Help!! Noticed TDC pin was bent after timing cams on m62tu
Bent about a degree or 2 maybe an 1/8". Do I need to retime the cams? or is it negligible.
Please give advice....
If you don't have it all buttoned up you may want to.
Your crank is off 2 deg from your cams which could cause a CEL.
Did you use the crank lock pin to hold the engine when to did the Jesus bolt?

i would rather buy more tools and have to wait 2 weeks to button it up than to find out my timing was off and have take it all apart again.

Is the car completely buttoned up? If is so, at this point it may be worth firing up to see if you get the timing code or not. Maybe you lucked out.

Sounds like you bent it reefing on the crank pulley. Rotate the motor slowly and check for resistance (valve to piston). If it feels okay I'd give it a shot.
There is plenty of valve to piston clearance, 2 deg off shouldn't cause any contact.
It would be interesting to see if you get a code, fire it up if you've got it all back together.
I just did this on my 540, Came up with an "over advance" error on bank 1.
Bought a new, beefier, pin for my tool set.
Verify the cam timing with a straight pin.
So you guys must be using the pin to hold the crank when you loosen and tighten the Jesus bolt.
A long piece of bar stock with 2 holes drilled in it to bolt on to the crank flange will serve as a good crank holder.
