Tonneau cover not lifting -- I popped out both motors. The top motor easily popped back into place but the flap motor, for the tonneau, will not pop back into place. I removed the flap motor and its mount. Then when I then attempted to close the flap motor I could see that that the teeth of the mesh gear were hitting the bottom lip of the well -- as if the gear was too low to enter the female well. Without some adjustment it will not close -- I don't see any points to adjust. Any help on this would be appreciated.
Dad, did you see this video?

These are his pictures. When folding the gear, the teeth don't line up with the hole. Could this part be bent or are we doing something wrong?

When pushing the cover motor back into place, you might have to push the rod toward the front of the car a millimeter or two so that the gears mesh. You can lift the motor into position and use your thumb to push the rod forward.
The tonneau cover motor knows where it is rotationally by a Hall IC that is built in. The roof motor has two switches with adjustment screws that are painted red and marked S1 and S2.
Apparently, the motor cover was bent...back in business
