What is the maximum boost for 91, 93, 95 gasoline?
Hi Gents, is there any calculation or statement or any experiments where identified maximum pressure for different type of gases for engine with 10:1 compression. Everyone knows that octane is resistance to detonation. So, high octane means higher resistance to detonation and higher boost.
Most people when stats their new project dreaming about high boost and big HP. Almost all of them motivated from youtube videos where freaks takes 500-1000hp from engines which those guys running every day. But, almost all those videos do not specify fuel type and a lot of mods which done in their car. )))
So, kindly ask you friends share as much as possible info here about maximum allowable pressure for specified fuel type. For example:
My experience. 90* octane is safe for compression 9:0 & boost 10psi. Octane 90 with 10:1 compression and 10psi boost is not safe enough but still can run.
*octane Russian standard.
