I understand that, the airflow is squared every time the rpm is doubled. But regardless, if the gasket can handle 400hp (however much flow and volume that is)the gasket should be able to handle the same volume and flow levels with a roots. Right?

Cylinder pressure varies with rpm due to valve train action. That is why peak torque on an S52 might be 3500 rpm. A turbo or positive displacement supercharger will make full boost at that rpm. Let’s say full boost is 16 psi. The centrifugal will make only 4 psi at 3500 on its way to making 16 psi at 7000. And there will be a big torque difference between 16 psi at 3500 and 16 psi at 7000. So big difference in cylinder pressure in the midrange where it is normally highest due to normal engine volumetric efficiency.

Lol. Yea. You got the ramrod on that one. They probably just had a bad day at the warehouse. The company will probably want to make it right. Ebay is pretty hard on stuff like that. Especially with the item page description like you said. Haha. If it is then you probably end up with some ebay vouchers and free stuff.
Nobody would recertify these machines after somebody screwed with them without any visibility into what they did.

HONK! HONK! Clown car coming through!
